Luis Obispo County. Estrella Warbird Museum. Located on the former World War
II Estrella Army Air Force Base (now Paso Robles Municipal Airport), the Estrella
Warbird Museum aims to preserve, perpetuate and display American aviation history,
with a focus on military services. Its latest addition is the Bede BD-5B aircraft,
known to movie buffs as the jet that James Bond flew in "Octopussy." Press contact:

Luis Obispo County near San Simeon, the historic Piedras Blancas Lighthouse
is now open for public tours. It is the first time the light station is open to
the public since it was built in 1875. Tours that began in June provide visitors
with an opportunity to experience an important part of the state's history. Led
by interpretive specialists from Hearst CastleŽ, the Bureau of Land Management
or members of the light station's volunteer organization, the two-hour tours take
place on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. from February 19
